ChangeDetect is a free commercial service that monitors the contents of a webpage, and sends an email to subscribers who are subscribed to the service, and who are monitoring the webpage, whenever the webpage changes.

The webpage for the first page on the website, which is called "index.html", has been prepared so that the detection service will ignore the counter on the page (otherwise, subscribers would get a message every time the counter changed!!

The service is free to both the website, and to subscribers. The service has a "Pro" version, which charges a monthly fee, and is the way that the company makes their money.

The only "tricky" part of subscribing is that you need to put the characters plus, one and period ("+1.) in front of your phone number, which is entered as three digits for area code, followed by seven digits for your phone number, without any spaces or a dash

By convention, the webmaster will always change the date and time the webpage was last modified, and this will be detected by the service as a "change".
